The most distinctive season in Big Bear Lake is without a doubt from September to November. The leaves start to change color, the air becomes a little crisper, and best of all, Oktoberfest takes the stage.
That’s right, from September 9 to November 5, Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest will take place across nine weekends, so it’s time to dust out the dresses and your lederhosen (leather pants).
The 53rd season of the traditional Oktoberfest festival brings together the mountain charm of Big Bear with actual German customs, charismatic figures decked out in traditional garb, German bands blasting out oompah-pah tunes, and the Chicken Dance, a fan favorite!
Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest brings together friends and family to enjoy each other’s company and make lifelong memories.
The theme for this year is “Embrace the Moment – Prost to the Memories.”
The 53-year-old Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest has given its visitors a wealth of wonderful experiences.

The various events taking place in Oktoberfest 2023 in Southern California are as follows:
It will be held on 14 October
You can have a great day at the Steelcraft Bellflower with live music, food and drink, and thrilling competitions. West Coast Prost will provide live polka music to officially start the celebrations and create the ideal atmosphere.
Remember to dress in your best lederhosen (leather pants) for the 2:30 PM Best Dressed Contest.
The best part of this event is that entry is free!
It will be held on 15 October
Come to Long Beach Beer Lab for our anniversary celebration and Oktoberfest fusion. Taste the inventive food, take in the interesting music, indulge in a specialty beer, and watch the renowned wiener dog race while you’re there.
The regular entry fee is $20, but children under the age of 12 can enjoy completely free entry!
It will take place till 21 October
This event will include German music, tribute bands, and a DJ.
This event has an age limit of 21 years old and higher.
Payment by card is the only option for purchasing alcohol, parking, and admission costs.
The entry fees for this event are $14 in advance, $17 on the day of the event, and $22 at the gate.

This family-friendly event is being presented by The Mosaic in Long Beach.
Apart from the renowned Beer Stein Holding competition, there will be German food, a Beer Garden, games, picture opportunities, live music, and many more things to enjoy at the event.
Entry to this event is completely free!
This event will take place on Saturdays and Sundays until 22 October
This gastropub in Venice is organizing a three-weekend-long Bavarian festival that starts on Saturday, September 23.
Delicious food, yodeling, lederhosen, and live music are all part of the celebrations.
Enjoy the tasty hot link served over onions and peppers with rabbit and rattlesnake.
